Rattle noise on Glee
« on: September 07, 2013, 12:17:49 »
I have a problem with a rattle noise on Glee when riding
I have checked everything that could rattle on bike and can't find anything loose
it does'nt rattle straight away but after about 10mins riding it starts
yesterday I went for a ride out  and discovered that when I pulled the clutch in the rattle stopped so possible clutch related
any ideas out there as to what it could be
cheers gilly

Sit at idle and pull the clutch in and out a few times, there is a change in noise, is this similar to what you hear when riding?

Mine doesn't and it has 100k on it, you sound like a dealer trying to flog bike :)

Check things like bash plates and engine bars for loose fitting and cracks, they are common culprits. I'd check panel screws and chain adjusters and such too. Eliminate the easy stuff first.
