Help needed from kindly `strommer for the new Glee
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:48:58 »
Hi All,

To cut a long story short, and mostly due to the kindness of that Yeoman of the `Strom, Andy, I am back!  :lala:

There are some posts to do with my gear in the `cymarc` section and already I have had a) a very warm welcome  :ty:  (the biking fraternity will hopefully never change - I still stop for other bikers if they are on the roadside) and its nice (bordering on humbling) to get welcomed back as I have.

and b) already had a request for 2 items for the new glee!

The thing is I don't have one of the new glee`s (what they like btw? The DL1000 and wee strom was brill)

So, the question is - is there any kind strommers out there who would be kind enough to give up their time (and bike) for me to do my stuff? I`ve already been asked for a fork brace (guess it needs one eh?) and a radiator cover.

Any kind offers then please PM me or email my Lovely Miss Shelly on http://www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk

Scunthorpe isn't that far from me, what would you need? How much time etc?

Firstly thank you and yes you ain't too far away. a full day would be good then thereafter I would look to post/ bring the prototypes to you to fit and give feedback on until I had got it right.

Ideally I could do with keeping you bike for a few days (I would take you back to Newark and collect you when I had finished) but if it's you only form of travel then that's not possible.

If you have to make several trips to me I will pay for all your fuel mate and look after you regarding bling

As I said I'm a bit fekked for the next five weeks but any time after that would be good.....

I'd like to help but I'm not keen on leaving the bike anywhere overnight.

Kind offer and thank you.

If you should ever change your mind my factory is very secure, within a locked compound, shuttered doors and windows with a central station monitoring the premises 24/7 - I have to be this paranoid not just for the bikes but the very expensive trick laser profiling systems I have.

My house has the garage directly under my bedroom which houses over £ of BMW bikes but I do understand pal - I feel the same about my bikes, I respect your wishes and if you ever want to visit to assure yourself of the abnormal security then it would be great to see you!

Mmm... OK. Another problem arises though, the tax is out at the end if this month and then it gets SORNed, it doesn't see salt. You can't do anything for 5 weeks, so it puts it out of my timescale anyway.

Thanks for replying though, sounds like quite a set up you have.

Pity it wasn't a bit earlier in the year as I'm overdue a trip to friends in Burringham & could have seen my way to drop her off.

I could get it over to you on the next 3 weekends if you can fit it in with your plans. Or, if you're still looking in the spring, I'll do it when I tax it again, I'm sure someone else will throw in before that though.

I`ve already been asked for a fork brace (guess it needs one eh?)

Nope, it really doesn't.
