Tyre psi
« on: July 15, 2013, 22:09:49 »
I have got myself a new Anakee2 rear tyre (big screw though the one that had only done 5000 miles)
so I run it at 35psi but on a hot day it feels loose, have now put it up to 40 psi, just wonder what is meant to be the right pressure for the back (manual says 35 solo and 42 pillion) but I ride solo but have got a heavish topbox.

I'm ~12 stone and I have it on 37psi without any issues. It might not be the tyre, it might be your rear suspension (mine's got an uprated spring and I'm not even heavy.)

I've not upgraded my rear spring.  I'm 16 stone but add top box and gear onto that. I've got mine set to 37 psi too and seems OK
I'm sane, honestly. . . I got a certificate to prove it!
