try any bike out while sat at home in the chair
« on: September 17, 2012, 17:14:27 »
have you ever sat there thinking I wonder if I can touch the floor on that bike or I wonder if that bike is a bit of a stretch to the bars ....well there's this clever web site that can let you do this while sat there in your chair its called  www.cycle-ergo.com  and it brings up a picture of almost any bike and  a manequin sat on it , you then put in your height & inside leg measurment  and see what you would be like on it. you can alter seat hight if you have an airhawk or distance from the bars if you want to change them ..you can play for hours  :lala:

you can enter height and inseam but you cannot specify if you do/do not have simian appendages.
There is no way to allow for the ability to scratch your knees while standing straight up. Or not.
Eliminates a few, I'm sure.
I am thought of as vertically challenged by most 14 year olds and up. The good thing is, when I fall down drunk, I have less distance to travel than most.

Had seen this before and it is a useful tool.

No bike at present.......

Handy to know that my bike can't be stolen by someone shorter than 4' with an inside leg less than 23"...... :auto-dirtbike:

Useful but limited like any model. You need to enter a couple of minus inches in the modifications box to allow for suspension sag and sliding across a narrow seat. I'd say I've done maybe 50000 miles on bikes (R1100GS and XT600E) that won't let me touch the ground (I'm a short arse with a 28-inch inside leg) if you use the basic data. It almost needs a box to say "bikes will sag and you can slide on the seat, but forget it if your pillion is heavier than you"!
