Cheeky Feckers!

So, Insurance Companies have started doing it also.....

Spent a while getting a decent quote for my Vee, all happy and start the payment process online - whip out my Mastercard and notice that there is a £3 charge for using a Credit Card now!  :angry-tappingfoot: Feckers!

I would like to name and shame Bennetts for this blatant excuse to rip even more money from me.

The worst I have seen of this are airlines.  They advertise a price, offering a discount for booking on line.  Then charge you extra for using a credit or debit card :(

Allow me to compound Bennetts shame....

I have had a Mastercard Debit Card for several years now.  The first year I had it loads of retailers used to try and charge me the credit card fee. On more than one occasion resulting in me leaving the goods on the counter in front of the half-wit shop assistant who insisted there was no such thing despite having the evidence in their hands.

This hassle has now tapered off as they have become more common but last year Bennetts claimed they had never heard of them and still charged me the credit card fee!  This year at renewal time I rang to haggle (NEVER take the first quote!) and asked if they were going to take money under false pretences again.

The response, and I quote "no we only charge new customers that fee". :angry-tappingfoot:

My advice, if you find the buyer of your services or products is related to the motor insurance industry in any way, get your own back!

On the subject of Bennetts (and maybe others) watch out for them automatically renewing the insurance a year later (usually at a higher price). You have to actively opt out of this 'service'. Cheeky feckers...

The positive of this, is that using a Quidco link, I'll get £20 back later on down the line.

Used them on Quidco before and they do pay up eventually.
