iris chain

do any of you have any thoughts on iris chains as I have one that I'm going to be putting on my DL1000

yeah don't put one on your Busa- you'll be doing 186mph in reverse!-

edit- I'm not awak yet, I thought it said Irish Chain  :shy:

don't know if you bought one already...but the SV forums had this to say...

+1 to that, My iris did 8k & it was scotoilered & it was completely gone , never had less than 15 k out of any other chain or less than 20k when scotoilered.....


I would order a DID/RK/Tsubaki/EK/AFAM chain....X ring preferrably.

Put one on my old Aprilia pegaso Strada and it lasted 4000 miles and by then it was completely knackered .  DID lasted 6000 miles.  Both chains cleaned regularly and a Scott oiler was fitted and running the chain wet.
