Well as I'm quite new to riding I'm always on the hunt for knowledge and was wondering what you keep under your seat? so far I have put a leatherman in the tool bag but that's it.

There was a thread like this not too long ago and it had lots of replies and pictures too. Have a search and you'll find a bunch of answers.

Since I did slightly obsessed by trying to prepare for every imaginable circumstance and utilise the seat space fully, I've come to my senses. I think this happened during the process of trying to squeeze an emergency rain-poncho in there...a poncho for chrissakes!
Also, looking back over the year and realising that 90% of my riding has been within about 50 miles of home, to be honest, that I'm currently covered by the AA and (as part of my bike insurance, the RAC), I took out some tools and bits and pieces (the soggy nutrigrain bar - are blueberries supposed to be green coloured?).
The one thing extra I have now is a 10 quid Alcatel phone with camera and bluetooth, which will charge with a USB cable from my ciggy power socket, common to all my electrical stuff (dvb camera etc). Its bubble-wrapped up etc. I just got sick of forgetting to take my phone with me on the bike.
I think I'll reduce my other kit to fuses, elec tape, standard toolkit, headtorch, allen keys, spare alarm fob battery, cable ties, copies of ins details, alarm instructions, wd 40.

Still OCD though  :lala:
