Spring clean and a quick spin
« on: March 19, 2011, 23:45:04 »
well through the winter the bike has been accumulating crud and a spring clean was needed.
considering all the salt that's been spread this winter and Suzuki's finish quality, suzi's looking good, even cleaned up the headers.
was going to leave her have a day off, but with the weather I couldn't resist a quick spin.

Nice pics! They do look good in blue.

Also like the engine guard, the way it drops down to get access for cleaning :thumb:
I can’t go back, I won’t go back
I’d love to go back but I mustn’t do that

The guard, looks nice, but is mostly for show, is plastic and thin, soft stainless. its also a fair bit wider and lower than the Suzuki/sw motech ones, meaning when I've had swmbo no the back she bottoms out going round corners a bit fast.
but then again, maybe I should stop trying to grind the pegs with 'herladyship' on the back
and again the front has big slats cut into it, so most crap still ends up on the engine!
will change it when I've got the money to swap, but there's other thing to get before that

Nice use of a Transalp engine guard   :thumb:
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

I think that's the Moto Agora guard

Thanks for that now I feel guilty about not cleaning my bike as often as I should.  :angry-tappingfoot:
If it can't be fixed with a hammer then you have an electrical fault.

SWMBO says I clean it far to often, and soon it's going to have no paint left.
though the kids in the street know me as the bloke that's always cleaning my bike... :shy:

A Strom is for riding not cleaning, I washed mine for the first time last week, I've had it 11 and a half months.  :auto-dirtbike:
