Hi everyone.

Just ordered a set of these from http://www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk

This is the cheapest I'v seen these, and the free delivery clinched it for me!

Hehe - I ordered these last week coincidentally. Still waiting for them to turn up. Don't forget we have a 10% members discount from there, but it doesn't stack with the free shipping on Givi stuff they do so it's only a couple of quid cheaper.

I'm going to order some too, but the 10% discount coupon doesn't seem to work.

I have contacted them for help

Got the same ones fitted the week I got the bike....   dropped it within the hour... Best £80 I've ever spent...   Having said that they are up to the usual Givi rust proofing standard (that is to say NOT) keep an eye on the corners where the welds are....mine are showing signs of corrosion... may take the centre stand & the bars off (if I can find the original engine bolts!!!) & go get them powder coated!

I've had no reply from my email re. the coupon not working - that's 48hrs now.

has anyone received their engine bars? I'm reluctant to order if their customer service isn't up to much

Mine still haven't shown up, if I don't get them by the end of the week I'll chase them up. I found the code could be temperamental - try registering on their site, I found it worked OK then.

Mine turned up today,
Ordered well after close of business last friday (about 7pm)
and had a bank holiday inbetween.

Pretty good service really,
I didn't use the discount code (as I didn't think to check) but did use the free givi delivery option.

They were very well packed in loads of shredded newspaper (The misses can clean that up tomorrow  :thumb:  ) and a BIG cardboard box.

can't wait to fit them on saturday!!

Hmm - I ordered mine on the 25th and still no sign, I missed a parcel today but I think that's my Power Commander. I'll get it tomorrow but I'm starting to get a bit worried!

Spoke to the bloke today and he's said there was an issue and they're getting delivered to him tomorrow and I should get them Wednesday.

I don't mind too much but I did say there was someone from here who'd ordered the same thing after I did and got them before! I think you got lucky Axe :P I ordered mine back on the 25th  ###

You got them fitted OK?

Yep,

Fitted them saturday,

Very easy to fit although it took me about 2 hours, as I stopped for lunch, had to keep going back to the shed for tools (through house, so shoes off at the front door, then back on at the back door, across lawn to shed, collect wrong size allan key, across lawn, shoes off, through house, shoes on, to bike swear and curse when allan key doesn't fit, start process again) it would have been much quicker if I'd taken the bolts to the shed with me (or taken all of my allan keys to the bike in the first place)

they are very sturdy, and look the business!

finally got a response -

Hi,

Our apologies for the slow response, I just checked the code "v-strom.co.uk" is still valid for a 10% discount on orders, It was however previously restricted to 1 use per customer, so if you had used the coupon in the past it may not have worked due to this, however I have now removed this restriction off of the coupon so you should have no further issues running through your order.

Kind Regards

Tim

Cheers Axe, Have just ordered a set. Hope they don't take to long to turn up. My son dropped his bike recently after skidding on diesel at some traffic lights. Not to much damage, but bars would have helped.

that's what prompted me to get mine  :bawl:

Low speed drop on a patch of leaves. managed to get indicator and mirror from ebay,  but I left the scratched panel to remind me not to be such a numpty...

Put loads of heavy grease on the bolt tgat joins them under the radiator, it's very exposed and a pig to undo in two years time.  If you didn't do it on assembly, just smother it now.

Mine have the metallic silver givi stickers to cover drop marks, and brush-on hammerite smooth black goes well on them too.
