Jacket short connection zip, where to buy?
« on: August 09, 2024, 14:25:46 »

I have a jacket that doesn't have short connection zip in it (only the long one)

My trousers only have the short zip.

I'm trying to find a place to but the YKK 8VSG zip to get it sewn in.

Cheapest I can find is £14.99, for a F&%king zip? Are you taking the piss?

Anyone know of anywhere (non motorbike shop) where you can get one?

Have googled plenty but can't seem to find one anywhere. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure exactly what you want or the length of the zip etc but a quick Google threw this up ........ https://jaycotts.co.uk/products/zip-ch_bw
maybe there are others more suitable if you Google exactly what your requirements are?

How old are your troosies? Did they come with the other half of the zip (they sometimes do) and you've put it somewhere safe? So safe you forgot where you put it?

Thanks all.
@Barbell Mick - yeh found that - one 4" too long, even called them and they said they don't have the 8 or 9" one I need.

@RustyNuts - I have one of those leather bits with a zip that fits on your belt, I wear only riding jeans so never had the elusive "other half"

@Nigel S Legend!! PM sent :)
