OEM Suzuki heated grips function
« on: August 22, 2024, 15:14:42 »
Hi all
I had some issues recently with low battery and a faulty indicator relay.. Hopefully that's all gone now, but..I am noticing that my OEM grip warmers have a quirk..
When the ignition is turned on the first heater indicator  light  flashes. If the engine is started the flashing light goes away.
I have seen a few posts in various places suggesting it's indicates the battery is low, but I have just fitted a new one that is fully charged, also that it will flash if the ambient is too high to use them?
I don't have the instructions for these grips. It was a demo bike before I got it. It's a 2014 DL1000. with, as I say, OEM heated grips
Any comments and advice welcomed
Pete

Never used the Suzuki ones , but on newer Oxfords the light flashing means they have detected a low voltage and are going to turn themselves off soon, could that be it?
If so, nothing to worry about.
