Seat reupholstery in Somerset or Wiltshire
« on: August 10, 2024, 19:44:03 »
I have the high seat on my gen 3 650 but at 6'4" I still find it a bit low and narrow.

Can anyone recommend a reupholsterers in Soms or Wilts?

Many thanks,

Simon

I can't fella, but I know what you are talking about.
I had my std seat raised two inches but the real difference was the extra width the upholsterers conjured up. Keep up the search you won't regret it.
I had gel front and rear too.

I know that this would mean you having to post, but Ian at http://www.carandcoachtrimmers.co.uk/ does excellent work and knows his stuff, and he's an ex motorcycle racer.

I don't know any in your area but try marine upholsterers too, most round here do motorcycle seats. The bloke I use charged £30 to do a custom recover on my fazer seat after I had modded it, and £50 to make a lockable twin zip bag for my Rotopax fuel can which is reasonable I think.Did you also get the std seat when you got your bike?, if so you could send that one out and not have any downtime.

Thanks all - I've emailed Ian and what a great plan to send off the standard seat and keep on riding!
