All good things come to an end
« on: January 21, 2023, 19:53:46 »
Sold my V Strom last week after 4 years of ownership, I’d just like to thank everybody who helped me out with useful answers / solutions  :fix: along the way.
I haven’t decided on its replacement just yet, but I’ll stick around and join traitors corner once I’m back on two wheels……..Spring is coming.

If you end up test riding a few bikes, let us know what you think of them...  :thumb:

Not the best day to acquire your next bike (monsoon conditions), essentially straight out the van and into my garage.
Now some might feel this is a bit nuts but I haven’t actually ridden it and by that I mean, I haven't ridden one at all - same when I purchased my Strom and that proved to be an excellent buy - I like the drama lol. Cash deal for an ex demo, squeezed a very very good deal, few cosmetic marks minor in nature easily dealt with.
Decided against a GS, Tracer GT plus, KTM SAS, Ducati Multi V4 / V2 (various reasons).
If it proves half as versatile and reliable as my former Strom 1000 it’ll still be a good bike……….if it doesn’t well there’s always the three year warranty.
Right then off to traitors corner with me………
I do have an official Suzuki workshop manual covering the 1000 from 2014 - 2019, once I work out the postage I’ll stick it up for sale here first if anybody is interested 👍

Just sold mine today as well...

@ Stormy
I’m the same, never ridden my Strom before I bought it as wasn’t insured and having at first said to the bloke I thought it was to big, after a couple of days I went back and bought it, still not ridden it!
Now a Honda cb500x is on order and again not ridden one, but I’m more confident that I’ll be fine with it, but only time will tell 🤷‍♂️

@ Tonkie

Well today I took it out for a brief ride and fortunately for me it was fine, I could even flat foot it so all good there. I need to read up on the control functions there’s a bit to learn, and no doubt they’ll be some screen turbulence at higher speed, on the whole though early days so far so good. Enjoy the Honda!
