« on: April 11, 2023, 19:16:25 »
hi    can anyone point me in a more specific direction regarding a splutter at 2500 revs  in any gear.  many different potential causes found on searching
before I start throwing money around on this that and the other

cheers in advance

Spark plug / HT lead
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

I had this issue on my old K6 GT, it's a known issue

After trying lots of different ideas, none of them cured the issue.

I finally bit the bullet and fitted a power commander and had a custom map made up on a dyno.

It completely transformed the bike and was worth every penny.

I know others have had some success by fitting TRE , this is far cheaper but not as good as a power commander.

Chief trouble maker 🙂

back to basics I'm afraid. did you change anything prior to splutter.
check safety cut outs on clutch and side stand, and wiring leading off to loom
air leaks/ blockages on intake and exhaust .
check anything recently disturbed even if it was something you just moved to get to something else
how standard is it
will it rev through sputter or is it just when you hold 2500 revs
more info needed

How's your air filter?
Have you possibly picked up some dodgy fuel?
Get the WD40 out and spray all connections you can get to.
