Parts interchangeability

I was just reading an old thread created by Beerbelly > Interchangeability of parts 1000 & 650

I am trying to figure out what this means:

2.   All 1000’s can be swapped & all 650’s can be swapped. Means swap only between 1000’s & only between 650’s & not between 1000 & 650.

So if the part in question falls into this category, can anyone tell me which model years are interchangeable and which are not? I have a 2018 1000 Strom.

That is a good observation, is there a source available with more up to date information?

I am after a brake pedal and have my eye on one but its from a 2015/2016 650.

What is the likelihood of it fitting my 18 1000?

Ah... using MSP.EU to compare part numbers between the various models.

The PEDAL, BRAKE - 4311116G00 -  is used on 5 models from 2003 to 2015

SV1000(N)(S)
SV650(N)(S)
SV650(N)(S)(NA)(SA)
SV650S - STAND (2015)
SV650S(A) - STAND (2010)

Onward with the search then...
