Thoughts please on a winter runaround within a budget of £1500?

Deauvile 650 -comfy, torquey, shaft drive, Honda build quality, but dull as dish water.
Older Versys 650
late 90's/early 00's Fazer 600 or 1000
CBF500 or the later 600 - early 1000 may be in range.
KLE500
Then you could always go for the obvious - Mk1 strom with a few miles.

A little ambitious for his new knee(s)?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I have looked at that and the red would match my eyes.

But... it is almost in Norway.

After being at the Stafford Show ground today for the Classic Bike show it seems the prices have shot up. Cheapest bikes were right knackers starting at £2000 up to a fully restored GT750 for offers over £30000. I was not the only one who noticed the prices has risen .

You might notice I left the bike I had for 4 years as a hack off the list... the XJ600n.

Well they are a small framed bike and basically crap.
The deauville has more character.
