Missfire under load
« on: June 30, 2022, 08:19:24 »
Apologies if this has been covered before but newly here.
Bike is a DL1000 2004 with about 27000 on the clock.
Has developed an annoying misfire when taking off and without giving it much throttle. Also chugs a bit if changing up into second a bit early. If I give it the berries when leaving the lights it's OK but not good when the plod are sitting next to me. Goes fine on the motorway.

Make sure that the hot idle speed is set to around 1200 -1300 rpm. Have you tried readjusting the TPS to see whether the flat spot / misfire in the fueling moves to a different rpm?  Have a look through https://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,6753.0.html
