Nope, that seat is truly awful. I've fitted bar risers which have the added benefit of pushing you back a bit more onto the wider part of the "seat", but it remains an instrument of torture. I also tried a Comfort Air seat but that didn't work for me either. I'm going to have one last attempt at a home fix and order up some kind of gel seat, and if that doesn't work I might look at a custom seat from Top Sellerie or similar.

They'll sort you. Nice ride from Fife too to discuss your requirements if it takes your fancy. Someone recently posted they had done their 1000 (?) I think.

A gel pad in the seat will help. I have a Glee and without a gel pad the seat was awful, it made my bum ache after a short ride. With the gel, I can ride till the tank is almost empty before I need to stop for a wee and cup of tea, then a short ride before I need another wee, then I'm off again. The pad can be fitted to your own seat and be invisible.

I bought a seat off this site and couldn't be without it.  :thumb:

IMO I think the seat on the 1050 is OK. When I bought the bike it felt like a plank of wood but now after 6500 miles I don't get any discomfort from it and I could happily sit on it all day.
I would, and I think others have mentioned it before, allow it to break in before spending good money on a replacement

I agree it's worth letting it break in a bit. But I've done 7,000 miles now, including a 1200 mile trip a week or so ago, and it doesn't feel any better!

Does that mean you have to cut the seat up and fit the gell pad
