Thanks for the prompt reply Deecat.
I will definitely be doing it but no need for now. It sounds like a nice late Autumn job. Although saying that, it was a niggling thought the last time I was out that I didn't have my compressor or fixings with me.
The toolkit is still on mine and someone thoughtfully stocked it up with supplementary spanners etc. You certainly miss storage when you've been spoiled rotten. It's a fact.
Ta again.

If you haven't yet decided on a solution for the security U bracket, perhaps something similar can be fabricated to that discussed on the French site: http://www.DL650.org/photos/pbsoluces/Alain27/porteU/index.html, http://www.DL650.org/photos/pbsoluces/fox/fox-supportU.html and http://www.DL650.org/photos/pbsoluces/alphonse/supportU/index.html

PS the "DL" (in DL650) and the "A" (in Alain27) should be in capital letters. The system may change them to lower case, causing in the link to fail.

Honda had a great solution. Don't know if they still do it.
The accessory rack had an opening through its base where the u lock could be stored and locked until needed.
Simple but great thinking. My CBF1000 rack had this ability.
