Are you pregnant?
« on: May 04, 2022, 22:26:18 »
I went for an MRI Scan today (dodgy knee),

As part of my appointment today I had to fill out a yes/no questionnaire. One of the questions asked 'Are you pregnant'? It went on to say, 'If you answered no, please circle one of the reasons for your answer'

1. You use contraception
2. You have recently had a period.

and other similar reasons, however, there wasn't an option for 'I'm a bloke', which I scrawled in the comments.

He's the bloke that gets burned on the bonfire each year... or at least he used to before bonfires got banned

Also his original idea for the use of gunpowder should definitely be looked at again as a option... just saying.

Maybe replace it with "him with genitals"   .

I can't get my head around someone wanting to be referred to as "they". "They" is plural. One person cannot be "they". If you're not a "he" or a "she", you are an "it". I'll probably be condemned to the fires of hell for this!

"I saw this person do a bungee jump, THEY launched THEMselves off the bridge and THEY just kept swinging, I couldn't take my eyes off THEM"

OK so I'm being a tad facetious and people wishing to be reffered to as them/they at all times is a sticky wicket I won't go in to but it's perfectly grammatically correct to use both terms in the singular. Whether you choose to or not is entirely up to you ;)

The world has gone mad. It may well be time to start WW3 then let what's left over start again. I have a name for those people offended by being called man, woman, girl, boy etc................... No, not that one.

I can't understand why I'm not pregnant after what the Tax man does to me every year.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Maybe replace it with "him with genitals"   .

Aah - but "him" is masculine and therefore toxic and since everyone has (had) genitals of one kind or another that bit doesn't work either...

In this current cluster of fecks we call 'wokeness' a woman is now a 'Birthing Person' so, using the same stygian logic a man is now an 'inseminating person' (deliberate small 'p' because men=ugh!)
