My new ‘Camp Anywhere’ accessory…
« on: March 26, 2022, 22:40:18 »
I’ve been getting my camping gear together recently and the other week I was browsing in a camping shop in Glasgow and saw one of these.

Now I do love my tea, and drink gallons of the stuff, but I do love a coffee too, especially if it’s proper coffee. So I bought one and tried it with some Kenyan (coffee, not a dusky young lady) and it works.

This device will be going with me whenever I go camping from now on. It’s a given. Until I saw it I never knew such things existed. It’s just a caffetier in a cup with a rubber cover that you drink though - but it works…! I think I paid £19 for it. Maybe expensive but for coffee on the road, we’ll worth it to me.

I also like a fresh brew, but out of a flask isn't the same.

I bought a trangia mini a while back.
Great to make a brew then cook your dinner with.

Old bike, old tent - but I've kept my battered kettle

Well, it works. Took a ride out into bandit country today and enjoyed my sarnies and a coffee in the middle of nowhere.
