I bought a https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002925827150.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.23fa2765K4lKsi&algo_pvid=ef37322e-c16b-473b-a457-aae08a5bb0a6&algo_exp_id=ef37322e-c16b-473b-a457-aae08a5bb0a6-1&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22sku_id%22%3A%2212000022833588312%22%7D and thinking of making the dealer mode plug.

Has anyone found the correct, bullet proofed way of making this switch - I mean without blowing fuses, damaging ECUs, canbus or similar that I have read on the net?

Regards, Lars.

It's not difficult Bonne (even I made one!) it's just a 'loop' between two connectors.
This thread tells you the connectors ................

Although I didn't use a switch, it would be better with one so you can put into dealer mode without removing the seat. This is one you can buy..........

If you look at post #9692 here you will see the one I made.............

I don't know about the 1050, Lars, but have you seen THIS thread on Stromtrooper?

Yeah, that is one of the threads... Different pins, different regional version, blowing fuses. Would be nice to know exactly how it is done, so I don't fry the brain on the Strom.

I hadn't realised they changed the dealer mode plug on the 1050.
This thread also goes through the method of making the plug up.

Reading it, I don't think you'll do anything other than blow a fuse if you get the pins wrong but what do I know?
