what's this connector?
« on: February 22, 2021, 15:29:44 »
2017+ DL650.
I've outlined it in red. Is this the connector for a fuse box?
Its under the seat towards the back.

Is it a switched live?
an always live?
or earth?

IIRC I found a connector like that in the tail section on a 13 plate Glee and it turned out to be a switched live and just right to enliven a  relay.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

I've no idea. I don't have the gear to test it or even the male to plug into it. I eas hoping someone might have recognised it.

Alan, do yourself a favour as you will need to use it again at some point, this is what I have in the tool box https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CIRCUIT-TESTER-6v-12v-24v-Automotive-Test-Lamp-Light-by-US-PRO-TOOLS/254404056205?epid=11028008950&hash=item3b3ba9d48d:g:UlgAAOSwINNduGFz

That, or for a little more money a meter...........

With a multi meter you can test  a lot more.
I think it's a connector for a battery charger/optimate, but without being able to test it has voltage, switched or constant, it's difficult to know.

Just tried it on my bike and it looks as if it's a permanent live feed.  Now curious what it's there for?

It’s in the same position as the connectors that are used for the factory fitted alarm on the Wee, so it maybe for that.
    Anyone got a schematic ?
