Brake light staying on??

After all the comments on my bike being dirty... I cleaned her... Now the brake light stays on..  Working perfectly when dirty.
Any ideas  :shrug:

Unplug the front switch to determine whether the problem is the front or back then go from there .

I've just been fitting footpeg lowering kit and had the same problem. I found it was the spring from the footpeg lever which attaches to the switch that was too tight and pulled on the switch. Took a fair bit of adjusting and talking to myself to sort it out. Could you have done something to the spring on the rear brake lever to move it? Also not sure about front brake switch.......  :shrug:

I've been having a similar problem of the rear brake not switching the lights on soon enough but then a delay in them going out. Turned out the actuator wire was jammed alongside the tank breather and causing resistance. Having sorted that out, I would like to adjust the switch to come on slightly sooner but the switch body appears to have bound into the adjuster nut and I don't have the hands of an elf to get in and adjust it.
Task for another day I fear.

All fixed.... It was the rear brake, a bit of penetrating oil and all freed up...
Last time I wash the bike.

So glad I read this thread as I found the rear brake switch was not connecting the circuit.  The front brake lever was operating the light it so it was the rear brake lever switch.  I'm sure that with a little more thought Suzuki could have made it completely impossobe to adjust it and not just a bloody faff. A large plastic nut that a spanner can go onto but with no room to turn it.  ###
