You might confuse people by telling them you have a 650 and putting a link up for the old 1000

Hi there

I spent a lot of time deciding which luggage to go with on the 1050XT. Ended up with the side carriers for the Suzuki Aluminium set, but went with (as it’s modular, and I have other bits, R20 back pack, 5ltr and 30ltr tail packs) Kriega saddle bags. Any idea if this is the same as the current set for the 1050XT? According to Suzuki’s site the current part no.s are 990D0-ALSC2-037 for the current black side case set, and 990D0-ALTC2-038 for the black top case.

One mans sensible is another mans insult. You need to give an indication of what sensible means for you.

Well its £1500 from Suzuki, so a sensible offer will be considered. I'm not giving them away, lets say I'd be happy giving a healthy discount off the cost price

I work just down the road from my local Suzuki dealer who are offering massive discounts on everything due to Covid. They are offering this system free on all new Strom's or £800 if bought with a second hand bike. So given you're selling without warranty or returns, I'm afraid you may be disappointed with the offers you get.

Sorry this isn't great news, but RRP price doesn't mean much at present. Why not keep them, they look great! They would make the re-sale of your bike very attractive when you come to sell, plus you may decide in time that you want them... Good luck.

I wouldn't have thought somebody will buy a whole 2nd hand bike to save £700 on a luggage set

...or pay very much for something Suzuki are giving away free to someone who's being as cagey as they come.
