Sunny...Dry!!!!!!!!
« on: March 06, 2010, 22:27:06 »
The 2009/2010 Ice Age is just about finished, the Sun is shining, the roads are dry, and the Strom is waiting with the goodies from Cymarceng fitted :thumb: .
And then that age old mystery rears it ugly head, why does your riding gear shrink during the winter :GRR:  (pause for fine weather rider abuse)
Anyway, the riding gear was squeezed into and we are back on the road  . And SWMBO cannot understand why a 1hour journey took 3

Winter Shrinkage occurs on many brands of clothing, not just biking gear
It's a phenomenon which has yet to be explained  :GRR:

Enjoy the improvements in weather ..it was snowing in Derbyshire today

Funny you should mention gear shrinking, my leathers must have come from a sickly cow because I am sure that they were a size bigger last year!!

Yeah, Brilliant weather today (Sunday). Loads of bikes out & about - some looking a bit wobbly (obviously their first ride of the year! )
Me - I'm stuck looking after the kids all today (wife catching up on work) so no chance of me getting out for a ride. :bawl:  :bawl:  :bawl:

I solve th eshrinkage problem by always buying new kit in the middle of winter, pre-shrunk.

Went out on the bike today too, fabulous.

Sven, don't know if you know of any locals with an RG1200BMW, saw one this afternoon in a layby, seat off and several heads looking into the depths of the beemer.Oh how I chuckled inside my lid  :haha:  :haha:

No can't say I do. But do know that Bumhead is thinking of swapping his Strom for a Beemer

Were you riding between Little Plumstead & Thorpe End today on the B1140. I saw a black V-strom ( think it was a Strom - only got a quick look at it) this afternoon heading towards Thorpe End.
