V strom restricted ?

Hi Chaps
Hope someone can help
Had my v- strom 2017 delivered this evening came from super bike factory (don’t know if this a good or bad thing )
I haven’t been on it yet..
But while looking through the paperwork came across a restriction certificate (my heart sank ) Dated December 2017.. It says it is a throttle restriction.
Question is how can I tell if it is still there or if it has been removed,
And if it is their would the super bike factory be responsible for this as their was not any mention of this.

The throttle kit is from alpha technic , if this helps ....

When I first passed my test I was limited to 33bhp for two years so I had a restriction kit put on the Yamaha XVS1300 I bought to replace the 125cc... that was a throttle restriction which prevented the throttle rotating fully - it would only rotate about 1/4 of a turn, and would top out at about 85mph.
If your throttle rotates fully around I'd say it's been removed, but you could always contact SBF and ask them if they knew/have removed it. Am sure if it's there then SBF will remove it for you

Your throttle will have limited movement.

That is not the only way they restrict a bike, I removed two washers with holes in from the air inlet for a friend a few months ago.

Carbed yamahas had a rubber semicircular membrane in the inlet, Suzuki favoured washers in the down pipes, and others had a device to stop the carb slide lifting fully. In the days of efi and ecu bikes, a physical device on the throttle seems a bit clunky and primitive. But cheaper to fit, and to remove.

It says on the certificate its a throttle stop type.
So hopefully it is easier to do , rather than getting a new ecu...

Hello chaps
Now unrestricted it was the throttle stop type . Only two screws holding the little plate on , but a bit of a pain to get to .
Had to remove the tank and all the plastic bits...
Air filter box , then remove the throttle cable to get access to the plate.
Took me about an hour and a half to do it....
But well worth it..
