Chain Guard Suggestions please

Mine (DL1000A) has broken at the rear bolt. Any recommendations for a replacement would be gratefully received

Are you implying that the chain guard tab has broken or mounting position on the swingarm? If it is the tab on the guard itself, then there are options of aftermarket chain guards to re-glue / repair the tab (JB Weld or similar). Or another method to repair the chain guard tab, you could use a couple of small pops to pop rivet a DIY bracket into the inside of the guard. For a swingarm tab break, a new tab can be fabricated using aluminium welding, or an external clamp around the swingarm. A touch of matt black spray paint should hide / blend the repairs. If it is the rear bolt itself, then a nut and bolt to secure the guard.

Yes, as said above.

Has the chain guard mount broken or the actual chain guard ..?

It is the chain guard tab, not the swinging arm. I've bodged it with two large washers, acting as a pinch on the remaining part of the tab.

I opted for the Cymarc one as a replacement rather than a repair. I'll let you know how I get on.

As always thanks for the responses, what would we (I) do without the forum  :)
