Brake Pad Shims

Any input/experience would be appreciated!

I know that EBC HH brake pads are quite a popular choice among us. I'll be changing my brake pads for the first time soon and have got myself some EBC pads for the front and rear. I notice however that they do not come with shims.

My Hayne's manual specifically states to make sure to use new shims with new brake pads.

What do you blokes do? Do these brake pads not need shims, or should I be buying myself some (and if so, from where)?

Don't buy new shims, your old ones will work just fine.
Remove them from your old pads and fix them to your new ones.

Give the old ones a good polish and pretend they are new. Always works for me.

Never replaced my shims, always reuse old ones.
