Lowered footrests
« on: August 11, 2020, 09:03:32 »
At the beginning of the year I damaged my left knee and, because of lockdown, have not managed to get any treatment. Although it has improved with exercises etc., I find now that I am riding again, that I cannot ride for more than an hour before it hurts enough to make me stop and get off. Upshot is I am looking at lowering the footrests on my 2019 650 XT. Cosmos look good and I wonder if there is any experience of these on the forum. Also, would these lowered pegs cause a problem with the centre stand ? I see the official Suzuki ones, now out of stock, have a note that they can't be used with a centre stand. Thanks for any feedback

speak to cymarcbikeparts.co.uk

I have used their lowering kits with a centre stand, no problem.

Would go with this. Mark makes really high quality stuff and he's a really great bloke to deal with. I went to his workshop to pick up a footpeg lowering kit and as he wanted to show one of his lads how to fit them he did it for me while I sat ina nearby caff.

He's got some really interesting bikes in there as well.

No issues with centre stand.

Rusty Nuts did have a pair left a couple of weeks ago. Send him a pm.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I found I was getting a bad back after riding for more than an hour or so with the standard height pegs on my 2015 Glee.  I put the Cymarc lowering kit on and it has transformed my ride, now super comfortable and feels just right. No problem with centre stand and I haven’t managed to ground a foot peg yet, mind I’m no hero these days.
Cheers Ian

Slightly off the subject, does anyone know if the lowering kit for a 650K9 will fit a 650L4 please.
