Did a bit of a wild overtake past a caravan in third and hit the rev limiter, didn't know the 1050 had one, came on a bit unexpected quick change up.

Most modern bikes have rev limiters. It stops you blowing up your motor.
It's very basic compared to the rest of the tech you have on your 1050...

Oldleathers, I think you
're
a bit of a wild one aren't you? best way to overtake, in my opinion, is on the limit. Get it done quickly and safely then catch the next vehicle and do it again.
.
I took off from a traffic light today and tried to take my 650dl near its limiter. It's impossible I think. My bike revs so low even flat out. It's a wonderful thing.
