Vario mra Screen Settings
« on: May 12, 2020, 14:39:31 »
Just got this on and went out for  a test. doesn't immediately feel much better though a smoother airflow less turbu. But the airflow is direct into my eyes. I have tried all the settings available.I almost prefered the turbu with stock to the direct into eyes airflow .Has anyone suggestions? 5ft 11.

Screen settings seem to be very personal, affected greatly by rider height, stance on the bike and helmets. All I can suggest is try all height settings on the screen mounts with all settings on the vario spoiler. You might want to record combinations of settings before and after test runs. The more adjustability there is, the more "wrong" positions there are, unfortunately.

If it helps mine is set as the photo. I tried to capture both adjustments in 1 shot. I'm 6-2" and it works fine for me.

Looks like a Palmer bracket in there as well?

I've just researched Palmer Brackets and you could well be right. This was all installed by a previous owner.

I've got mine on the lowest set of fixing holes, with spacers in the bottom holes and none in the top. This tilts it more toward me.  Air hits me just below the helmet so no buffeting at all with spoiler down.  Then, when on the motorway and more protection wanted I lift the spoiler all the way up.
Works great for me.  I'm 5'9", but I have a tall upper body so I'm more like a 6 footer sat on the seat with short legs.

Do the spacers  ( the rubber rings that come with the screen )go on the inside - riders side - or the outside of the screen ? Thanks . The diagram and instructions are not clear to me ...I assumed the rubber things were to protect the screen from being damaged by the bolts but I could be wrong .

On mine there's a washer on the outside of the screen, then the rubber washer underneath.  Then my plastic spacing washer on the bottom two holes.
