SO...... Halfway home engine back fires big style as I approach some lights and stalls.

Starts but runs on one cylinder at low revs, seems better but not perfect above 5k rpm.

Limp home take a look and the backfire had pushed the injection bodies up out the intake rubbers hence rough running.

Pushed them back and tightened the clamps and seems OK - anyone else had this fun ?

I'm fairly certain this was a known issue on the 1000s on VSRI or somewhere, and people were wire tying them on to stop them popping off again.

I never thought about that - ill have a look if it happens again or I fetch the tank off - thanks !

Its now running better than it has in ages so may have been leaking a bit for a while.
