DL1000 AL4 Front Suspension travel
« on: May 21, 2019, 20:18:41 »
I know the specification says 160mm but I am interested in the 'real world' and really wanted to know what other owners are finding.

I seem to be only using about 1/2 the available fork travel (cable-tie on the upside down chrome tube sits about halfway down the fork leg, no matter what I do with the suspension settings) - is this normal?

I think it must be. I had my front suspension tuned to the fullest soft position at the week end for some green laning, even on a section that had lots of dips and hollows the suspension showed no hint of bottoming out, even when airborn.
In fact my suspension works better off road than on
