Oil Cooler Unions/Pipes for 1000 K7
« on: December 10, 2018, 11:59:09 »
Does anyone know where I can source new replacement items please? My garage has quoted over £500 to replace them with genuine Suzuki items if they are still available. Looking at the radiator I will most likely replace that too. Thank you.

Try Robinson's Foundry and see if the code in the Vendor section will work.

Genuine oil cooler pipes are around £105 Inc vat each and are still available from Suzuki. I'm not sure why your garage has quoted  over £500 ..?
The radiator is around £578 on its own so I'd ask your garage to double check thier prices.

Earlier this year I had a Yamaha XJ900 with that problem I got a cooler from M&P and had the oil lines made up at a hydraulic supply company the oil lines were £120 each from Yamaha, the hydraulic company made both of them up for me for £32 using the same end fittings.
hope this helps

I, too, would check out local hydraulic kit suppliers, or motorsports firms such as Merlin Motorsport, for the hoses. They'll be making hoses up so should be able to supply any desired length (and probably fittings) at a more sensible price. May also be able to supply a suitable cooler for rather less than the OEM price.
