Seat looks great. Does he do gel inserts? Can you supply me with contact details? I've got a spare seat on it's way and I really need a comfier seat. Thanks.

He does do gel inserts as had one put on the pillion seat on a previous bike. If you speak to him he'll talk you through the pros and cons of it.

Thanks for the info. I seem to be stuck between gel and a soft place here. My arse needs a bit of TLC when on the bike for any length of time. Some web sites recommend gel and/or memory foam, others pneumatics, one site I looked at last night didn't recommend any of these, just different grades/layers of foam. I think I'll just toss a coin and live in hope or ride in despair.

I have never had a gel seat and as some members on here can acknowledge I do loads of miles travelling to the Yorkshire rides. .. I did have extra foam put in my seat and not had a sore bum... This seat feels so much better though and I'm looking forward to the next ride.
Don't rush into a gel seat yet.

I have never had a gel seat

How is the seat now mate? I'm thinking of going for the same type of seat from Tony Archer, what weight and height are you and does this make a difference? don't think I'll bother getting gel either,I'd like to be sitting a bit further back as well, 6'1" 17 stone, that's a lot of pressure on my rear end for hours on end!!

Hi
The seat is still going strong and I  completed a 1000 mile ride in 24 hours on it with no effects on my rear end.

I'm 6 ft and about 15 stone max

Its worth it .... I did have it raised an inch, flattened and widened.... also moved it back more as I don't carry a million.

Hope that helps.

@Holmsey £500k max now with cutbacks and everything?

Its worth it .... I did have it raised an inch, flattened and widened.... also moved it back more as I don't carry a million.

Hope that helps.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Is Tony Archer still in business? no answer to phone calls and no other way of contacting him.

He is (he still has my seat). When I was there a few weeks ago he mentioned he was off to the Isle of Man so he may be there?
