Throttle body balance
« on: May 03, 2018, 20:41:36 »
Sorry but I am struggling with the search function when using my phone.
Currently giving the bike a good service and as the tank is off thought I'd balance the throttle bodies.
Got the vacuum gauges out and flipped to the relevant section in the Haynes manual.
It says in the manual 2007 onwards take to specialist for throttle body balance as ECU needs updated or something along those lines.
Is this fact? Is there a way around this or some cheap ECU gadget I can get hold of to do the job?
Thank you

I simply balanced mine using the two pipes hanging from the throttle bodies BEFORE setting up the TPS.No problem at all.

You can manually adjust the butterflies with an adjustment screw the ECU won't suspect a thing  :icon_wink:
