2005 DL1000 monokey rack query

I bought this bike with a Kappa monokey rack already fitted. The base plate is made of plastic and I want to swap it for one made of metal. Does anyone know anything that may fit the bill?

Givi do an alloy rack, as do sw motech and several others. Have a look at their web sites or on ebay.

Givi do aluminium bases that fit kappa luggage, but the only monokey base I can find specifically for your bike is the plastic E528 that you probably already have. You'll need to buy an aluminium base and engineer (bodge) it to fit.
