Wind drag , top box , side pans

I've just joined the group and have a question to ask , I've just bought a 2015 vee and its a brilliant bike , but , and its only a little but , when I ride am getting a lot of drag , now I've narrowed it down to the top box ???? so the question is would the aluminium panniers and top box be less of a drag or is it something have to live with , would appreciate your honest feedback answers ????

You'll have to live with drag if you use a top box and/or panniers. A backpack would reduce drag but then you have to wear it which is rather avoid.
