« on: October 02, 2017, 13:42:21 »
hi blokes , its time to say goodbye to the forum ,its been a brillant forum with lots of help info and banter (one of the good forums on the net )    .but since my accident last year in which I  nearly lost my life and still having my love for bikes   and getting back on the v2 its been fantastic but how have trouble getting on off the v2 with my rebuilt hip etc the bike is brillant and could not wish for more but its so top heavy and not that light  and not being that long in the leg it all adds up this was all OK before the accident but now its become so much more evident so have now sold the v2 as I don't won't to give biking up and have bought a truimph thruxton r which is so light small and no trouble getting on/off so happy days and hopefully more biking days to come  :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
so I wish everybody a fond farewell safe riding and a enjoy your riding where ever it may be
jason
ps keep and eye out in the for sale section as lots of goodies for sale soon so I can buy goodies for the r

Not so quick Zippy my old mate, you don't get to hand in your notice so easily. :traitor: always has a place for you. :thumb:
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

For all us creaking older and wounded riders on here, I was on a piece of motorway near Magny Cours yesterday (for the French WSB round) bobbing along happily at, or a tad over the 130kph limit and a bloody scooter came past probably doing in excess of 160. He had his head down a bit and was with a group of bikers. Bit of a surprise but really quite nice to see.

Yes Zippy you must hang around so you tell us all about your new bike. You know this forum, unlike almost all others, is for grown ups with none of that childish "my bike is better than any other so don't mention them" stuff. Traitors corner is warm and welcoming but mind out for my Burgman Scooter and my Harley when you drop in.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Sorry to see you're leaving mate, I enjoyed reading your posts. I know what you mean about the v2, I'll be keeping mine another few years but next time it'll be smaller and lighter for me also. Enjoy the Triumph,  I like them.
