Where to connect my hot grips
« on: May 27, 2017, 22:34:33 »
Could anyone tell me if there is a spare switched live in the headlight area on the Veek? Just bought some after market heated grips. Thanks.

I fitted mine to the power supply where the oem connector is on the bike its best to lift the tank to get to it then you can either use a correct plug or snip the ends of and get your power from there  and you know its fused as well ,if you take a power supply from the headlight area and something blows you don't know what fuse could go and leave you stranded just 2p worths .don't use the aux power supply on the dash as I think it will overload it if used with grips and  gps etc

The OEM connector is hooked to the same 3Amp fuse as the cockpit 12V output terminal. Check your heated grip manual how many Amps it draws. If you got the Oxford they normally come with a 5Amp fuse.
