Heed crash bars and skid plate
« on: March 10, 2017, 06:52:45 »
Thinking about getting these for the Glee, but I'm not the most mechanically minded so just wanted opinions on how easy they are to fit. It looks to be just a few bolts.

To give you an idea of my competency,  I fitted a Givi topbox, and I have some spanners and screwdrivers. So is it do-able?

You need a good socket set and take your time. :thumb:

I have an average socket set and limited patience, but I'm encouraged by your response!

Thanks!

Read the instructions, then read them again, loosely fit everything to make sure they're where they should be, then tighten. Then go round it again to check you've tightened everything.  :fix:

Finally.. make sure you never fall off and need them. ;-)

Luckily I never fall off..  :happydance:

Fitted at Xmas, easy enough and like the chap above says, don't rush.
Leave bolts loose as possible before tightening

Cool, I feel like it's not something I can mess up too bad.

Am I supposed to use locktite or is that not something people tend to bother with?
