Without any promises this is what I did.
The plug is square, white, and has a black rubber cover. You must remove the cover to get at the contacts you are looking for.
Remove the seat and stand on the right side of the bike.
The plug is tucked under the tank just forward of the rear tank fixing.
Gently pull the plug from under the tank From the side and not directly from under the rear fixing.
Now you must identify the contacts.
There are six holes but only four have wired connectors.
Connect the bridge wire to the connector on the top right ( on mine its white) to the connector on the lower right (on mine it is black).
Looking at the connections from left to right:-
top row
1 is wired
2 is empty
3 is wired
Lower row
1 is empty
2 is wired
3 is wired
I connected the bridge to the no. 3 connections.
Then I turned on the ignition.
If the F1 light does not come on then you may not obtain a code.
Start the engine and check for the F1 light. It may take 10 to 15 seconds to come on.
