Sat Nav mount
« on: January 03, 2017, 07:49:36 »
Hi, just bought a 2014 v strom 1000, I'm thinking of getting the Suzuki satnav mount that fits on the handlebars. But I wondered if you can still see it when you have a tankbag fitted?
Does anyone know?
Cheers,

I couldn't see it properly on my handlebar mounted one on the glee - ended up with one above the clocks which is a much better position to see it anyway.

I have a RAM ball that replaces one of the handlebar clamp bolts, it works a treat.

I made a bracket that went between the two brackets that the windscreen attaches to then ran the electrics under the tank and behind the clocks, it`s in line of sight when I`m riding, works great for me no head movement needed between road and Sat Nav.

Hi ronniemoto,

I have purchased one for mine, custom made by a friend, laser cut, looks just amazing, better than any other I have seen and price Vs quality also great.
Want me to share some pictures ? I know he will produce more and can sell you one to Uk.

Try Alan at Ravetech only took 18 Days for mine to get to me. Good quality and nice Finnish.

I ended up buying the Ram mount plate for Cosmo Accessories, linked in the forum shop.

Works a treat, though note that link is for the 650 2012+.

I made a bit on bent metal that fits on the screen brackets, then bolted on a ram mount. Sprayed black looks grand and didn't cost a penny.
