Paintwork
« on: March 12, 2017, 17:53:40 »
Hi All
Relatively new owner here,  and so far very pleased with the decision, coming from a Hayabusa to the DL1000 is a culture shock, but not an unpleasant one, especially for my Spine. knees, arms, neck, OK so I am fat, not bendy and 50+ :shy:

Given the quality of the advice I have seen on here, I was after some advice, sorry if this has been covered before

I was giving the bike a clean, and in the little nooks and crannies around the luggage frame there are some little spots of the red stuff appearing, that I would like to get rid of.
Has anyone else here tackled this? if so is there a paint code for this subframe or even a decent match that I can get to tidy it up, as I do not want this to look scabby and spoil what I think is a thoroughly decent machine

Thanks in advance

Huw

This is the worst bit. like I said it is all behind the boxes on the subframe.
I have no problem removing it and treating with a rust killer but I could do with a paint code or type to make good. Otherwise I will take a chance on a brushable silver auto colour
