I've had some other bits off Cosmo and have been very pleased with them.
I have contacted the dealer who sold me the bike to see if they have any thoughts about my cracked centre stand.
Not holding my breath though.

I can't imagine any help for a modified part that did not come with the bike from the factory.

Well that is true.
But I believe that the dealer may well have modified the stand for the original owner, so I thought they might like to know in case they are contemplating doing the same mod for anyone else.

If the dealer modified the stand, that would be a different story. No dealer I ever had did any welding.

Well, this dealer was in Scotland and the Scots are a pretty enterprising bunch!
I'm going to end up buying a new centre stand as I really don't want some welded up thing.
My current dog bones are 150mm c to c and I have sent for some 146 c to c ones.
I shall fit a new Cosmo centre stand and then see if I can get the side stand lengthened.

The supplying dealer (Cupar Motorcycles) don't seem to want to reply to my email about my broken stand, so I assume that means that they won't be doing the customer service thing.
So, greywolf, I thought you were joking when you suggested using a hockey puck under the side stand but I notice on your other forum that it is a serious suggestion!
Anyway, I have just ordered a hockey puck off Fleabay and I shall let you know how I get on.
I'm sure I will get another verbal lashing for buying something that could be used in an American sport but DILLIGAF?

Might want to wait till the centre stand is fitted, to make sure the puck clears it when they are both retracted.

Rusty Nuts, that's far too logical,.
If the puck doesn't fit, then as it only cost me less than 3 quid, I'm sure I will be able to find some other use for it.

I had a really pleasant surprise today.
Cupar motorcycles who supplied my bike have kindly reimbursed me for the cost of my replacement centre stand.
They have turned out to be a great dealer despite my earlier misgivings and have gone the extra mile to sort out my little problems.
