I used a product from Pyramid Plastics. https://www.pyramid-plastics.co.uk/categories.html?catnum=14&dept=Suzuki%20Motorcycle%20Accessories

The Americanism filter won't let me post the name here but it starts with Extenda and doesn't end with mudguard. It looks a bit like F*E*N*D*A. It looks to be a UK product too but this site objects to the product name as being too American.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

It is indeed an Extender mudguard and I have one on my bike. In fact I always buy one from them for any bike I buy. Just fit it as recommended and it will do a fine job.

Hi
I ordered this one off fleebay last year, (Suzuki DL650 V-Strom 2012> Extenda mudguard by Pyramid mudguard Extender 050300)
about £17 and really easy to fit, keeps all the muck off the bottom of the engine, no screws or plastic clips, just use a good quality waterproof glue not the double sided tape it comes with.

I was looking at these too after seeing the crap on my pipes after a wet weather ride. I was wondering if the tape would be strong enough as other types looked like the bolted on and I didn't fancy drilling holes.

Holes are easy just get a 4mm drill bit and use a small block of wood between the mudguard and tyre a lot better than tape and miles better than removing the mudguard.

The tape the thing comes with is just for positioning purposes. I took it off and added 3M permanent, double sided foam tape to fill great majority of available space. I found that allowed dirty water to drip down from the small spaces between Extenda and mudguard after accumulating there and affect the appearance. I used some black silicone seal all around the margins to prevent that. The Extendas I added have been on a Wee for over 120,000 miles and a Glee for over 17,000 miles with no problems. ABS cleaner then cement works too. The Extenda I first installed on the Wee with the temporary tape and sheet metal screws came loose.

Mine came with a pyramid plastics extender fitted.  Does the job nicely, and there are no screws on mine.  Don't know if the po just used the supplied foam double sided sticky stuff or went for domething stronger.  No signs of anything else used. Whatever, it is doing the job.

Mine got screwed on after it tried to escape at 70mph on the M1. Used the 3 screws, pipe solvent and some black sealant too. That bugger isn't going anywhere!!!

I also run with a rubber flap attached to the bottom of the extender. Get absolutely no splash off the front wheel  :lala:

I bought some of that mix your own epoxy resin type adhesive from Poundland for a nugget and it has kept my Extenda on for 2 years off road and through the odd Summer monsoon, the double sided adhesive pads don't hold it as mine fell off in Honfleur, luckily I heard it go and a kind French person picked it up for me.

My "Pyramid" extender instructions show that the tape is for positioning only. It also has four plastic rivets and drilling instructions.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.
