I have one on the Nail, after much reading I shouldn't have bothered. A conventional filter flows more air and filters better. I'll find the stuff that convinced me.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I agree, in my opinion, having talked to a few tuning folk, not worth the money on most bikes.

I bought a K&N once many moons ago.
Hold it in the air & you can see daylight through it, which was enough for me not to bother again.....

Lots of conflicting comments in their blurb that doesn't ring true.
However there are those that use them, do the miles with them & are happy.

The judgement of the tribunal ( three replies) is a unanimous no.
Thanks your honours.

There is nothing wrong with k&n filters, proven results make them worth the money, they are not sold all over the world for being rubbish.
I have had K&N filters in nearly all my bikes with zero problems and over the years have saved a fortune not having to buy new oem airfilters.

I have one too. It won't turn your bike into a sportsbike, but I'm happy enough with it. When I eventually replace the exhaust I'm sure they'll go well together.

(This could be another oil/tyre thread...)

I have a pipercross foam element in my bike. I got it because it is washable and reusable. Also has a larger surface area than the stock filter. No performance drop or gain as far as I can tell.

Sent using carrier pigeon...
