I second that, it's very good at driving out moisture and keeping it out

one of the best finds in motorcycling ..I covered my bike in it before going touring , hit some terrible weather then did a bit of off roading the bike came back ditched...got the jizer out, gave it several washes came up like new ..I now wash ..dry.. then acf50 back on it every time..

When you say covered, are we talking a liberal spray all over all the metal bits?

My bike lives outside all year so could do with something to help it out

Everywhere apart from tyres and brake discs and pads. For most areas it is best applied by a 1"  brush, sparingly though as excess just ends up on the floor as it is very liquid.

I buy it in 950ml bottles + spray bottle for just over £30 on ebay works out cheaper that way if you use a lot ..and I apply just as as Mark says...

How do you blokes apply it?

The sqirty bottle supplied broke but I have bought a small sprayer from a garden centre. Not tried it yet

I use a Garden Centre Sprayer, but with mixed results. Sometimes I just spray onto a cloth and wipe that.

Those with compressors are luckier.

Mostly a brush for hard to reach places but also on a cloth and rubbed on to bike

I own a compressor. Should I go & buy a lottery ticket?  :happydance:

If you warm it before spraying it makes it more misty less gloopy so good to apply all over nooks and crannies. If you have not got a compressor

keep hearing about ACF 50 - always kept my bikes outside untill recently but think ill still give it a liberal application when I get some!

back to the original question though - don't people use WD40 for contacts? (much cheaper)
