Loobman fitted !
« on: May 07, 2016, 18:24:50 »
Just finished the install on the Loobman chain oiler ...
I thought I would share this cause I didn't find any pictures for the 2014 v strom and maybe this can be helpful.
Bracket for the delivery head is attached to the chain guard bolt for a cleaner swing arm look and a more robust delivery head.
I am happy with the way it looks on the bike and I hope it performs well I haven't had a chance to test it.
  Comments and questions welcome ;)

Won't your chain or swingarm hit that?

I think Hondaman was referring to pic.3. The reservoir looks low, as if a big bump might bring the swinging arm up to hit it. Maybe just the photo angle?

It still could be hit & miss, with suspension on full compression, don't underestimate the amount of chain slap.
Just an observation, hope all is well. I like the Loobmans simplicity :)

Thanks for the hint I'll measure today and see the distance from the tank to the swing arm...
I was thinking about changing the loupe at the end cause it's a bit close to the chain :)

I have a scottoiler fitted and am very pleased with it, but the movement of the swing arm did put a kink in the delivery tube coming down from the reservoir.

That looks so nice ... maybe in the future if I don't like the Loobman I will get it...
Clean setup I must say... can you tell me how much it is and where did you get it ?

 Cheers

I buyed from here
http://shop.krueger-motoparts.com
But the price was 99 eur for light version (without holder, I made it myself). I see now that light version is gone, so you have only full set for 139 eur. Shipping to Croatia was 9 eur, don't know how much is to UK.

I have used Loobman before so decided to give this a go on my Veek... But going to combine it with a different applicator which sits under the chain from Motobriiz (US). Should be interesting...
